Marine Corps of the Caspian Flotilla to take part in the Victory Day Parade for the first time
The parade squad will include more than 100 marines.
For the first time, marines of the Caspian Flotilla (CF) of the Southern Military District (SMD) will take part in the military parade in Novocherkassk, Rostov Region to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was reported by the SMD Press Service on Friday.
"The personnel of a separate CF Marine Corps regiment was dispatched from the city of Kaspiysk in the Republic of Dagestan to take part in the Parade ceremonies on May 9 in Novocherkassk garrison, Rostov region," reads the report.
According to the Press Service, the marines will use the quarters of the SMD's 8th combined-arms army to prepare for the silent drill platoon at the parade. The parade squad of the regiment will include about 100 marines.
