Vladimir Putin laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier together with heads of foreign states
Vladimir Putin, together with the heads of foreign states who came to Moscow to attend the festivities devoted to the 75 th anniversary of Vicory in the Great Patriotic War, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden.
Earlier, Putin reviewed the parade in the Red Square. After that, the events will continue with a welcome reception for the heads of foreign states in Grand Kremlin Palace.
On Wednesday, Putin will also grant the State Prizes for outstanding achievements in science and technologies, literature and art and in humanitarian activities, charity and human rights.
May 9 last year, after the Victory Parade, Putin also honored the memory of fallen soldiers by laying a wreath to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near Kremlin wall. After the Parade, Russian leader traditionally walked from the square to Alexander Garden where the soldiers of Presidential regiment set up the wreath by the Eternal Flame during the ceremony in the name of Russian President. Putin honored the memory of those fallen in the war with a moment of silence.
